Chalet Bambi

Location: Gstaad, Switzerland
Year: 2017
Collaboration: AUD Architect

The luxurious chalet is the result of a skillful restoration of the pre-existing building. The magnificent setting overlooked by the structure influenced the choice of the materials employed and the decision taken by the design studio to blend tradition with modernity. The Finnish studio which took care of the design, intervened modifying the main building and reorganizing partially the spaces.
The interior design project reflects and meld with the choice to utilize materials inspired by the nature, to create a harmony between the inside and the outside. Here we find a stone fireplace which connects the different floors of the chalet and wood essences which fire up floors and walls. Curtains of precious fabrics like cashmere and linen, along with soft furnishing complements and leather details to give a modern touch.
